Naira Marley’s management, however, released an official statement via the singer’s Instagram page, stating that he is still in custody and will be released tomorrow.
According to Naira Marley’s management statement, his N2 Million bail needs to be perfected before his release.
Singer Naira Marley who appeared in court today in regards to charges from EFCC. After a motion for bail was presented before the court today, two conditions were given as the request got granted.
Naira Marley must provide Two Million Naira (2,000,000) bond, and two sureties, one with a landed property and the other, a Civil Servant, not lower than a level 10 officer. The judge also directed EFCC to verify the bail terms.
Weeks ago Naira Marley was arrested alongside Zlatan Ibile, Rahman Jago, Guccy Branch and another unknown person. The others were released shortly after while the singer was left behind in custody.
Authorities say incriminating evidence was found on laptop he was arrested with.
A statement Naira Marley wrote recently as obtained by newsmen reads:
“I am married to two wives and I have four kids. They are all British citizens staying in the United Kingdom.
Naira Marley’s fans and followers have been celebrating the release of the singer but this statement affirms that he is still in custody.
