“The invitation arrived two weeks ago, it was a little late due to the proportion of work, but we set it up”, says Maurício Sacramento, founder of Batekoo, in an interview made by WhatsApp.
“It was all very well, but I think that the desire and happiness to participate in a campaign as important as this one made everything exceed our expectations for what could be the result. It was beautiful, representative and illustrates what Batekoo, IVY PARK and Adidas mean within this partnership ”.
For Sacramento, being in an important and diverse campaign like this means taking another step in building a collective reality. “The mark of one of the biggest and most relevant black artists of today, joining one of the biggest collectives / platforms in Brazil is a huge reflection of the impact of our powers and works”, he writes.
“This direction towards a new world, in which black people increasingly connect, concerns me for the so-called order and progress that we shout so much, but do not see in our daily lives”.

With the team responsible for the campaign handpicked by Beyoncé herself, the feeling is one of gratitude and recognition.
“It was very careful of her to choose us. We grew up listening to and accompanying these American artists with the mentality that this is so far away, ”he says. “We never imagined that our work, despite reaching a level of excellence, could reach someone like her. It is extremely important for us ”.
