A nigerian lady who goes by the name jidetum on twitter has revealed on social media how she sustained herself in the university.
She shared the experience via her official twitter handle, where she revealed that she sustained herself with her carpentry skill. Sharing her experience on twitter she also revealed how she got her carpentry tools and how friends and families reacted to the news of her actively involved in carpentry business.
In her own words while sharing her experience she wrote “During the lockdown last year, I had to pick up a skill as a main source of income, as a student was tied to school being in session. I told my mom about it and my interest in carpentry and she was happy I was going to learn something. She went as far as getting me some carpentry tools from a vendor Jiji nigeria and collected it from the person on her way back from work.
“I told my friends about my new mission and some of them were laughing at me, I posted it on my whatsapp and some ladies mocked me but I never lost hope and I went to learn carpentry and I was getting some little jobs which I used to sustain myself.
“With time some of those who mocked me were the ones who came to be asking me to assist them with some funds. All I did was send them the link to where they’d get their own carpentry tools on jiji, atleast they’d know how it feels.
