Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has emerged the winner of the presidential primaries which was held on Saturday. The former vice president of the federal republic of Nigeria beat Governor Nyesom Wike (Governor of River state), Former senate President, Bukola Saraki among others.
Taking to his official facebook handle he wrote “Today, the march to rebuild and unite our great country moves forward. I am honored to be named the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party. I look forward to speaking with Nigerians Across the country, taking the message of hope and unity as well build one future for our people”.

Atiku Abubakar emerged as the winner with over three hundred and seventy-one votes while the river state governor, Nyesom Wike had a total of two hundred and thirty seven votes, Saraki who was behind had over seventy votes and Emmanuel, thirty eight votes.
